I never thought the last year of my life would unfold in the way it has. I traded my online blog for a more tangible, hardcover journal. Losing my dad in October has been too painful to talk about...so I finally began to be able to write about how much I miss him. And I cannot say much more about that right now....maybe later.

MJ

It's been just over one week since Michael Jackson has died, and I have not read one blog about about it. I have to say, my interest in MJ has sparked again, almost like it did back in 1983 (even though it was mostly a crush on the star). Maybe its because now I can appreciate the dancing and the music more than ever before. I've been on a Michael frenzy, listening to everything I used to love, and starting to develop new interests for the songs I didn't pay attention to in the past.

yes, i know, i'm a bad, bad blogger. I can't believe I still get any hits...

there are only five weeks until the wedding, and my biggest concern right now is the playlist. i don't want the list to be in such an order that it reflects my current mood, which is frenetic. believe me, i've mulled over the thing for months now. i need to organize it in a way that is conducive to the day, the mood (of the day AND guests) and our tastes (NOT those of the guests!). we're not having the usual wedding dancefloor tracks; its just not gonna happen. ive already given away my choice of a string quartet playing my favorite gothic music as i walk down the aisle. i got nothing in the way of a rave review for that move, so the rest is a secret until the big day.

ive finally chosen my shoes; that took close to a month. for a girl who hates making decisions, that time period was pretty impressive.

since the shoes are selected and the playlist is coming along, i'm pretty much done.
